Presently ICCRC is the national regulatory authority designated by the Government of Canada to safeguard consumers who seek Canadian immigration advice and representation. By the Spring of 2020 ICCRC will become the College of Immigration and Citizenship Consultants, empowered by the College Act to identify unauthorized immigration practitioners and hold them responsible for their actions.
Federal law requires that immigration consultants in Canada or abroad, who provide Canadian immigration services for a fee, must be registered with ICCRC and accredited as Regulated Canadian Immigration Consultants (RCICs). Visit http://secure.iccrc-crcic.ca/search-new/EN to find out who is authorized to provide services in citizenship and immigration laws. |
